Chief Coordinator's Message

Hearty Greetings!
When the first wave of Covid 19 has slightly come down and the life circle has restarted its functioning, all the walks of life have started to breathe free and fresh air. This has also reflected in the Higher education arena and the Teachers were returning to the College and handling their classes through Online and Offline as per the guidelines issued by the Govt. of Tamilnadu. Fifty percent of the students were attending the classes in the campus and another fifty percent were through online from their homes.

In this new environment, I have taken up this responsibility of the Chief Coordinator of Self Financed Stream. I have accustomed myself with this new venture and associated myself comfortable with this esteemed Good old Institution. I hope that with the overwhelming cooperation of the Management, the Principal, my office, the Coordinators and the Staff members, I could fulfill all your expectations.

The challenges before us is to overcome from this Covid 19 second wave of pandemic situation by conducting classes and the internal examinations through online platform and make the students to face even the Semester examinations also with the help of ICT tools.

Continuing the OBE pattern and expanding the Non Major Elective to other classes will have to be implemented effectively. Apart from that, various Certificate Courses, Add on Courses, Self study Courses will also have to be designed and carried out for the benefit of the students.

The faculty members will have to transfer the quality knowledge contents to the students and for that they will have to raise their qualifications and update their knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, workshops, FDPs etc.

Even though our College is situated in the Heart of the city, almost 90 percent of the students are studying from rural areas. It is our responsibility to give them hands, uplift them and show the right path for their bright future.

It is also one of the major responsibilities of us is to identify the hidden talents in each and every student and encourage them to develop that and provide them the opportunities for the exposure.

Tamaso maa Jyothirgamaya. To produce disciplined, competent, spiritually, socially committed and morally upright students through quality education and research.

It is our prayer and Goal. We will march to reach.

Dr.S.Surianarayanan
