The Rotaract Club of Madura College was initiated in the year 2015 and convened by Prof. P.Manikandan, Department of Sanskrit, which is coordinated and conducted by the students of both Aided and Self-Finance stream.

The club had its formal Inauguration on 9th December 2015 by Rtn.M.S.SUNDARAVEL, President, Rotary club of Madurai West, delivered the Inaugural speech. The club is being sponsored by Rotary club of Madurai West. During the function the new office bearers for Rotract club of Madura College has been installed. 15 Students of Both Aided and SF stream were taken Oath during the Installation.

Aim and Objectives

  •  To develop professional and leadership skills.
  •  To emphasize respect for the rights of others, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations.
  •  To provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world.
  •  To provide opportunities for working in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary clubs.
  •  To motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.


  •  About 10,000 students were participated in the "Awareness Programme for Literacy in Our Country”, Graphical Human Formation, a Guinness attempt organized by Rotary International on 15.12.2015 at our college campus. More than 18 colleges over the city actively took part in that event. More than 400 students of our college were participated in this Mega Event.
  •  Five students were participated in DISTRICT RYLA 2016, conducted by Rotary Club of Madurai West, Three days Residential Camp (1.1.16 to 3.1.16) at Mahatma School (Residential) Alagarkoil campus, Madurai. Among 55 students from 20 colleges, two had won Mr.RYLA’16 (M.Alagumurugan-III B.Sc Chemistry) and POPULAR RYLARIAN ’16 (M.Karthikeyan-II B.Sc Physics) awards. Three had won Best Journal Writer Awards (Ms.SivaBharathi, Ms.Yogitha, Ms.Roshni-II B.A English).
  •  Two students were participated in RYLA CROSS ROADS, Five Days Residential Unique Event (24.02.16 to 28.02.16) between RYLA DISTRICT CLUBS of Tamilnadu at M.A.M School of Engineering, Trichy.
  •  Four students were participated in POLIO VACCINATION programme at Govt. maternity hospital, Madurai on 17.1.16 and 21.2.16.


Heritage club was initiated in the year 2012 for the students with the purpose of creating awareness, preserving and promoting our Rich Ancient Culture and Traditon, among youth.


Students created awareness on Rock Cut Cave Temple, TPK along with CII, Madurai and Archeological Department, Madurai.

Aim and Objectives

(i) To create awareness of our Indian heritage to the Public through the students
(ii) To Protect Hereditary Spots by making tie-up with various Organizations like INTACT, Chennai, & Heritage, Madurai., CII, Maduraietc.,


(i) Ms.Rukmini, Hertage forum, Chennai had given an awareness talk About Heritage sites and their protection from vandalism on Sep-7, 2012. More than 50 students were participated.
(ii) Prof.Santhalingam, Archeology Dept(retd), madurai had given a talk about Umaiyandavar Temple, Tenparangundram. Mr.Ramesh, CII, Madurai and more than 60 students were participated in that Heritage walk.
(iii) Prof.sadhu V. Rengarajan had given a motivational talk about Bharatam and its Incredible Heritage on Dec-12, 2012. and Dr.D.Ramasubramanian, President, MCB gave welcome address,...

Shri.N.S.Krishnan, Vice-President, MCB Has introduced the Speaker and Conluding remarks were given by our Principal, Mr.R.Murali. More than 50 students were participated.
(iv) 12 student winners of college level competitions were sent to MA MADURAI POTTRUVOM open college level competitions conducted by MA MADURAI POTTRUVOM organizing team (Govt. of Tamilnadu) 0n 5th Feb. 2013 at Thiagarajar Engineering College, Madurai.
(v) M.Ramkumar(2010CMP16) Had won Second prize in District level Drawing Competition conducted by MA MADURAI POTTRUVOM organizing team (Govt. of Tamilnadu) 0n 9th Feb. 2013 and received his Prize from Tamilnadu Governer Shri.Rosaiah at Madura college, Madurai.
(vi) More than 50 students were participated in Marathan, conducted by MA MADURAI POTTRUVOM organizing team (Govt. of Tamilnadu) 0n 8th Feb. 2013.
(vii) More than 30 Students were participated as volunteers in Cultural Exhibits at Tamukkam MA MADURAI POTTRUVOM 0n 10th Feb. 2013.
(viii) Five Girl students were participated a special programme “ We – The Chosen” on 24th feb, 2013 @ Sri Sathya Sai Anantha Nilayam conducted by Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Madurai.
(ix) Heritage club has jointly organized a SELF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME with Shri Rama Chandra Mission, Chennai. The course was inaugurated by Dr.Ramanathan, Deputy Director (Retd.), Ministry of textiles, Government of India on Feb-14-2015. More than 12 speakers from various institutions has given an Inspirational talk regarding HUMAN VALUES.
(x) CHINMAYA MISSION has organized a one day youth camp on July-2014. More than 30 students were participated in the programme.
